Born in Germany, Ursula completed an apprenticeship as a Goldsmith at Die Goldschmiede in Jülich, and holds a degree in industrial design from the University of Frankfurt. She has also studied jewellery design at the Edinburgh College of Art. During her last eight years in Germany, Ursula worked for a jewellery gallery in Hamburg as a designer. Sometimes small and weighty, and sometimes voluminous and light, Ursula’s jewellery plays with, and reverses, expectations of scale. Ursula has been living and working as an independent jeweller in New Zealand since December 2009.
